Abakus Automations is a Miami-based consultancy that designs, builds, and supports AI automations for accounting and tax practices across the United States.
Our mission
Accountants didn't enter the profession to rename PDFs, chase missing 1099s, or type numbers from one screen into another. Yet that's where a large share of a firm's week goes, especially in season.
AI can now handle much of that work reliably, but most firms don't have the time or in-house expertise to evaluate tools, connect systems, and do it securely. That's the gap we fill. We bring the engineering, and you keep the professional judgment.
We also think firms have been asked to adapt to their software for too long. Platforms like TaxDome and QuickBooks are built for thousands of practices at once, so every firm follows the same rules and waits months for updates that have to please everyone. We build the rules around your firm instead, and when something needs to change, we change it within hours.
Why “Abakus”?
The abacus was one of the first tools people built to make counting faster and more reliable. It didn't replace the person doing the math; it made them quicker and more accurate. That's how we think about AI in accounting.

Founder, Abakus Automations
Dylan founded Abakus after building the operating platform behind Wicklow Expat Tax and seeing firsthand how much of a tax practice's week disappears into repetitive work.
He works where software engineering, applied AI, and tax operations meet, and he leads every client engagement personally, from the first audit call to go-live.
Dylan is based in Miami and works fluently in English and Spanish, as does the rest of the team, which includes native Spanish speakers. That makes Abakus a natural partner for Hispanic-owned practices and any firm serving Spanish-speaking clients, a market most technology vendors overlook.
